Lestewater

Every year, tropical rainfall hits the 3km-tall mountains of Timor-Leste.

Slowly, over the course of time, the water in this spiritual land is filtered.

Enriched by minerals, it collects in aquifers, which offer natural protection from pollutants.

Leaving it unspoilt. Untouched by human hands - until it reaches yours

How does our water process?

Water from heavy rainfall gets collected in the groundwater.

Groundwater enters an aquifer as precipitation seeps through the soil.

The soil has layers of porous rock or sediment rich in minerals

The deposit of clay, silt and sand left by flowing flood water produces fertile soil.
As the water passes through the various sediments, it goes through a natural process of filtration.

Water seeps down & remains in the Aquifer until the need arises in the dry season.

Water moves through the aquifer and resurfaces through springs and wells.

Thus passing through a natural and organic process of re-filtration.
